TRADE NAMES:

Under our legal system, a trade name is the name under which an establishment undertakes its activities. Such establishments could be commercial, industrial, agricultural etc. Registration provides legal protection from any abusive use of the trade name by third parties. We provide protection for the trade names for our clients in all the Member States of the OAPI. We would normally require the following in order to undertake registration:

The name, address and nationality of the applicant;
The trade name for which registration is requested and in relevant cases 2 copies of a graphical representation of the name;
The location and the type of activities undertaken by the applicant or for which the name will be used;
An un-notarized Power of Attorney and
The relevant fees.
